Our Hosts
Our hosts are carefully selected by our field team, but are new to the tourism industry. They are simply human beings with that “something special” that makes us believe you will enjoy sharing a moment in their life.
Some of our hosts speak fluent English, while with others, you will surely have to use your creativity to understand each other (with our support over the phone, don’t worry).
We are sure that our hosts will entertain you, practice their English with you and tell you about their lives… and that you will go home with new friends in your heart and unforgettable memories in your head!
Our standards
All our guest rooms are equipped with mosquito nets (beds and windows) as well as a filter to purify and chlorinate the water.
Except in Kudumbimalai, all rooms have a fan. Some rooms are air-conditioned.

Dilu’s Homestay
Dilu’s family has started welcoming guests in 2016, and it looks like both guests and hosts have loved the experience! The family members’ attention to their guests and Jothy’s great cooking skills make this homestay an ideal place to interact with a gentle Sri Lankan family. 3 rooms are available and can accommodate up to 8 guests.
Pavviya’s Beach Homestay
Pavviya’s family has started welcoming travellers in 2022, for the great pleasure of guests families. The homestay being steps away from the beautiful Kallady beach makes it an ideal place for sea lovers, as well as for travellers eager to immerse themselves in the daily life of a fisherman’s family. 2 rooms are available to host 4 to 5 people.

The rooster in the morning and village life await you at these 3 families located in different rural areas of Batticaloa district. We recommend that you book an accommodation + activities package, to make the most of this unique experience in the countryside!
Puspa Illam
Yes it is very basic… but the normal way of life in the village of Kudumbimalai. Here we sleep on the floor, you’ll also do this. We bathe at the well, come we’ll show you how to do this… There is no electricity… don’t worry, we can live without! Puspa’s family is around to guide you about how to find happiness in simplicity… Experience!
Pavalam Illam
Did i hear you say that you wanted an experience of immersion? Here it is! Pavalam’s family has newly started to receive guests at home, gently looking after their needs and making them discover what their life is about in the village… Boating, cooking, gardening… what is your program today?
N.A. Green Farm
Come and meet our gentleman farmer, passionate about his work at the farm, keen on making you discover his environment, the animals he breeds, the plants he and his staff look after. Let his neighbor feed you with traditional village food, and relax under the trees… no stress allowed!
